How we draw
Today's result is fixed before you release. Check it from 00:10 tomorrow.
- Before you release, this page shows today's commitment: the SHA-256 hash of a secret seed for today's board. Your browser adds a seed of its own, which we record for the day when the page loads, so trying again can't change your bin.
- Your bin comes from HMAC-SHA256 of today's seed with the date, your member number and your browser's seed, read as a number from 0 to 6999 and placed on the table. The ball's path comes from the same calculation. It never changes the bin, and the ball keeps the same pace all the way down.
- With the board's near-miss setting on, as it is now, a ball bound for a smaller bin passes beside a bigger one on its way, the way a real board's ball rattles past them. Where it lands was decided before it started.
- Ten minutes after midnight we publish the day's seed. Anyone can hash it against the commitment, and you can recompute your own results from your receipts, on this page or with any HMAC tool. Each day's commitment is published a day ahead.
- Signed receipts and the public random round the pack draw uses are on their way. The board doesn't use them yet.
